“I was born in 1990, and sent home. I started to turn blue and was rushed back to the hospital at 5 days. I had my first open heart surgery that day, after being diagnosed with HLHS. I had all three of my surgeries at Mott children’s hospital. I am now 34 years old, loving my best life. I am married, I have my masters degree, and I work with children with developmental disabilities. My husband and I recently adopted a baby boy and are now a family of 3!”
