“We learned of our son had Hypoplstic Left Heart at our 20 week ultrasound. We were devastated to learn he would have half a heart and need so many surgery to survive. After speaking with our Doctor and Surgeon here in OKC we were convinced this was the best place for our son and they gave us great hope for him and the outlook for the rest of his life. Rockford had his Norwood at 5 days old in 2022 and exceeded our expectations coming home even breast feeding!!!! We were so amazed at how strong our heart baby was. He had his second surgery the Glenn right after Christmas 2022 and has been growing and thriving ever since!! He is a silly, busy, totally normal toddler now and has traveled all over the USA and even Canada! We are so proud of our heart warrior and the hope he gives to others following him with the same diagnosis! Rockford’s stem cells are with the Heart Works team at the Mayo Clinic and we are so thankful for the work they are doing in securing our heart babies future!!!”
