February is a powerful time to raise awareness for congenital heart disease (CHD), a condition that affects 1 in 100 children. For families impacted by CHD, the journey doesn’t pause when awareness month ends. The need for research, better outcomes, and stronger community support is ongoing.
That’s why Heart Month matters so much to us.
This year, we’re combining awareness, education, fundraising, and community connection in meaningful ways – and we invite you to be part of it.
We are incredibly grateful to Alex and Karina, through the InfoTrust Foundation, for making a $50,000 Heart Month match possible. Through InfoTrust’s commitment to giving back – including dedicating 1% of profits to community initiatives – their support is helping accelerate HeartWorks’ mission to improve outcomes and pursue a cure for CHD. Beyond financial support, their team has generously contributed expertise to amplify HeartWorks’ reach and impact.
This partnership reflects what’s possible when mission-driven organizations come together. Every gift made this month will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact for families affected by CHD.
Beginning February 1, every donation made to HeartWorks will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000.
We’re also thrilled to host a special Heart Month silent auction featuring a vacation to Aruba for up to six people, generously donated by the incredible Mike and Kelly DiMaggio. Kelly is a fierce advocate and adult with HLHS.
This beachfront getaway includes:
Bidding opens February 16, and the winner will be announced at the end of our Virtual Dinner. Every bid supports research, awareness, and families navigating life with CHD.
Awareness starts with education – and we’ve made it easier than ever to share the CHD story.
This year, we launched a Heart Month Asset Library that includes:
These tools are designed for parents, teachers, local businesses, and community members who want to spread awareness in a simple and meaningful way. Because sometimes, awareness begins with one conversation.
If you or your child has CHD, your voice matters.
The Co-op @ HeartWorks is a voluntary research initiative that allows individuals with CHD (or parents/caregivers) to share health information to support future discoveries.
Participation is:
The goal is simple: create a powerful research resource that helps scientists better understand CHD and improve care for future generations.
Heart Month wouldn’t be complete without our favorite tradition, the HeartWorks Virtual Dinner.
On February 19, families and supporters across the country will cook together from home using a curated meal kit shipped to their door. During the evening, we’ll share:
It’s a night of connection, impact, and hope – all from your own kitchen. The deadline for meals and wine has passed, but there is still time to register for the event!
Congenital heart disease does not end after childhood. It affects individuals across their lifespan.
Heart Month is an opportunity to:
At HeartWorks, we believe better outcomes are possible – but only if we continue pushing forward.
