Every year, Giving Tuesday brings people together around the world to uplift the causes closest to their hearts. For families affected by congenital heart disease (CHD), this day carries a special meaning because their fight never pauses, never slows, and never loses urgency.

Thanks to an extraordinary commitment from Tom and Bev Porter, every donation made to HeartWorks during the week surrounding Giving Tuesday will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on an extraordinary year - one shaped by your generosity, your belief in possibility, and your commitment to every child born with congenital heart disease (CHD). Because of supporters like you, HeartWorks has accelerated lifesaving innovation and delivered hope to families who need it most.

Reached Clinical Readiness

Implemented a transformative skin biopsy protocol and consented the first 100 patients in the HeartWorks bioengineered cardiac lineage treatment trial – within its first year.

Opened the HeartWorks World Headquarters

Our new research and manufacturing facility in Eau Claire, WI expands our capacity from 12 to 100 stem cell lines annually, fast-tracking personalized therapies and clinical progress.

Built The Co-op @ HeartWorks

A first-of-its-kind platform capturing the lived medical journey of CHD families, ensuring future clinical breakthroughs are driven by real experiences and real needs.

Achieved the Wanek Circulation Breakthroug

After 30 years without new solutions, we demonstrated that a precisely placed mechanical pump can significantly improve circulation in complex CHD – reshaping the future for countless children
